Questions & FAQs
What are your Qualifications?
I’m a CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist with nearly seven years of professional experience and a decade immersed in the world of bodywork and holistic healing. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with an intuitive understanding of the body’s natural rhythms.
I’m currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology, expanding my knowledge of anatomy, movement, and rehabilitation to deepen my work with clients. Whether addressing pain, supporting recovery, or promoting overall balance, my goal is to help each body feel more integrated, restored, and resilient.
What makes your style of bodywork different?
Each session is completely customized. I intuitively blend multiple therapeutic modalities — including injury management, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, Swedish massage, cupping (if indicated or requested), reflexology, and nervous system regulation — to meet your body’s unique needs that day.
My approach is deeply intentional, therapeutic, and rooted in presence. Whether you’re recovering from a recent or past injury, healing from surgery, or seeking a deeper connection with your body, each session supports your physical and energetic systems in full alignment with your individual healing goals.
What is Injury Management Massage?
My specialty! Your injuries are my favorite to work on!
Injury Management Massage is a focused, therapeutic style of bodywork I use to help clients recover from pain, tension, or limited movement in the neck, shoulders, back, and hips. These are some of the most common areas where we hold strain. Whether it’s from posture, repetitive use, or an old injury that never fully healed.During a session, I look at how the muscles, joints, and nerves are interacting and create a treatment plan that meets your body where it’s at. This type of work can help with issues like sciatica, frozen shoulder, herniated discs, whiplash, hip or low back pain, and general muscle tightness or imbalance.
My goal is to help you move more freely, recover faster, and feel stronger in your day-to-day life.
What is Myofascial Release?
Myofascial Release is a slow, intentional form of bodywork that focuses on the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, bones, and organs. When fascia becomes tight or restricted (from injury, posture, stress, or overuse), it can cause pain, limit movement, and create tension patterns throughout the body.
In my sessions, I work to gently release these restrictions, helping restore movement and balance in areas like the shoulders, neck, jaw, back, pelvis, and hips. Myofascial work can be especially helpful for chronic pain, sciatica, low back or neck tension, shoulder stiffness, and even issues like plantar fasciitis or TMJ discomfort.
This isn’t a “deep tissue” approach where pressure is forced—it’s a slower, more mindful techniques that allow your body to unwind naturally. Each session is customized to what your body needs that day, with the goal of improving alignment, increasing range of motion, and creating long-lasting change rather than temporary relief. Just be sure to arrive hydrated!
What is Trigger Point Therapy?
Trigger Point Therapy is a focused, deep-tissue approach that targets “knots” or tight, hyper-contracted spots within the muscles that can cause pain or limit movement. These points often refer pain to other areas of the body—like headaches that start from the neck, or numbness in the arms that stems from shoulder tension.
In sessions, I use slow, precise pressure to release these trigger points and help reset the muscle back to a healthy, relaxed state. This work is especially effective for Sciatica, Low back pain, TMJ, Tension headaches, Muscle Tears, and Carpal Tunnel–type symptoms.
Trigger Point Therapy helps break the cycle of pain caused by stress, injury, or overuse. Each session is balanced with gentle stretching and drainage techniques to restore circulation and ease, so your body can fully recover and stay pain-free longer.
What is Cupping? How does it work?
Cupping Therapy is a suction-based technique I use to help loosen muscle tension, boost circulation, and support your body’s own healing response. It’s especially helpful in areas like the back, neck, shoulders, and anywhere you feel deep tension or stagnation.
I place specially designed cups on your skin to create gentle suction. That lifts the tissue slightly, encouraging blood flow, reducing tightness, and helping your fascia and muscle layers soften. What looks like a “bruise mark” afterward is really just the result of increased microcirculation and will fade in a few days.
Many people find cupping useful for relief from back pain, neck tension, headaches, shoulder stiffness, and other persistent discomforts.
During a cupping session with me:
• I’ll assess which areas are most restricted and apply cups thoughtfully
• I might keep the cups stationary or move them slightly, depending on your tissue and what feels best
• After removal (2-5 mins), we’ll combine gentle movements or light techniques to ease the area
Cupping isn’t painful. You may feel a strong pull or tightness while a cup is on, and some tenderness afterward—but nothing that should overwhelm you. Because cupping affects the surface and underlying tissues, it’s not appropriate for every situation. If you’re pregnant, have certain skin conditions, clotting issues, or other contraindications, we’ll talk through whether it’s a safe choice for you.
My aim is always to meet your body where it is— Using cupping as part of a session to deepen release, support recovery, or break up chronic patterns—so you walk away feeling freer, lighter, and more connected to your body.
What other tools do you use?
I incorporate advanced vibrational tools—such as the NOVAFON Pro and the Infinity Ball—to deepen and support the bodywork you need. These tools deliver targeted vibration that assists in cell regeneration, enhances lymphatic flow, eases chronic pain, and supports neuropathy care.
I incorporate these tools when they can best support your session—whether we’re addressing old scar tissue, lymphatic congestion, or chronic nerve-pain patterns.
The vibration works as part of the integration: physical + energetic = deeper regulation.
Why this matters
• The vibration helps stimulate lymphatic and micro-vascular circulation, which supports drainage, detox, and tissue health.
• It works on the nervous system and soft tissue tone, helping reduce stiffness, nerve irritability, and persistent pain.
• It’s modular: I rely on my hands plus tools—but always at the right time, for the right body, with the right dose.
How many sessions will I need?
Every body is different but I strongly recommend receiving Massage Therapy twice a month. For first time clients, I like to see everyone twice in a month to track progress and curate a routine that works well for your specific body and needs.
What are the benefits of Massage Therapy twice a month?
Regular bodywork helps your body stay balanced, not just recover.
Two sessions a month can:
• Reduce pain and tension before it builds up
• Improve circulation and lymphatic flow
• Support faster recovery from workouts or injury
• Regulate your nervous system and stress response
• Boost immune and digestive health
• Keep your body moving freely and feeling aligned
Consistency creates lasting change—each session builds on the one before it.
Do you work with post surgical clients?
Yes. I work with many clients recovering from different types of surgery. Massage therapy supports healing by improving circulation, reducing swelling, and easing tension in the areas compensating for the surgical site. When one area is healing, the rest of the body often carries extra strain — massage helps rebalance that.
It’s also beneficial for recovery from bone breaks, muscle tears, and other structural repairs, helping restore mobility and support the body’s natural healing process.
Do you offer in-home sessions?
Yes, in-home sessions are available for an additional travel and setup fee. These sessions are only available for current clients or if you have a referral from a current client and must be booked via text, call, or email.
Can I receive treatment if i’m pregnant or ill?
Yes — I offer prenatal massage for clients who are at least 12 weeks along. If you are feeling unwell or have an active cold or flu, please wait until you are fully recovered before rescheduling.
Will my sessions be clothed or un-clothed?
For proper energetic flow and to allow the body to receive the most benefit from the work, it is preferred that you wear the least amount of clothing you are comfortable with. You will remain professionally draped, covered, and safe at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed. Your comfort is always the priority, and clothing adjustments can be made according to your personal preference.
How will I feel after my session?
Some clients feel lighter, more energized, and deeply relaxed right away; others feel a wave of sleepiness as their body shifts into recovery mode. Depending on the style of session and pressure - you might feel sore, all normal signs that your body is receiving healing.
To support recovery, I’ll curate a simple aftercare plan tailored to you. This may include gentle stretches, mobility work, hydration tips, or self-care tools to ease soreness and extend the benefits of your massage. My goal is to help you build your own wellness toolbelt so you feel informed and empowered long after you leave the table.
Are there any conditions where Massage Therapy isn’t recommended?
Yes — acute infections, untreated heart conditions, kidney failure, blood clots, and certain cancers require medical clearance before treatment. Please share your full health history on your intake form.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing is best. During sessions, you will be draped for privacy and comfort.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit/debit cards, Venmo, and Cash. Payment is due at the time of service.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Your appointment time is reserved just for you.
